Intel Pentium 4 519
1GB DDR2-533 RAM
160gb GB 7200 rpm SATA HDD
GeForce 6200 TC 256MB DDR + TV out
DVDRW dual +R9

Very good, altough I think you might want a GPU with more memory then 256 megs.

Depends on the model.
One rule though is that if you are interested mainly for applications/games that use OpenGL, then same level model from NVidia is faster. For directX powered though, this is not the rule.

Is that pci express or agp? If it is pci is the memory channel dual? I'm interested cause I'm not sure if the jump to pci express is worthit right now.

On video cards, it is very important to read your chosen game's manual or look on the internet for reviews, and look for any problems associated with potential video cards. Some games definitely work better with different brands.
I read recently that anything over 256 ram would still be redundant right now.

hmmm I can't run half-life 2 my monitor displays a message about "mode not supported" but it works fine in window mode and when changed to full screen ingame, any ideas ?
