Just buy the game. If it is really your favorite game, you should be willing to pay a few bucks for it. I did and am quite happy.

Except that Arena was not released to promote Morrowind. It was released for its 10-year anniversary.

So if Daggerfall will be released for free, it will be on its 10-year anniversary. Not Oblivion's release, but the anniversar. Bethesda loves us, yes. But I sure as hell doubt they want to offer tech support for Daggerfall :P

I have just had a bid a ?20 beat on e-bay and there is still 4 days to go. What gets my goat up is that Pc gamer gave the game away a few months ago but the back issues of that issue have sold out.

You might just want to wait a bit, and watch eBay, Amazon and the like for a month or more. I would be inclined to think cheaper copies will appear, since so many are now in people's hands. You might even want to check Bethsoft's Daggerfall forums, and search under "selling" or "cost."

Just make sure you patch it, as it is probably one of the most bug-infested games ever created :not_ok: . It ruled anyway :Brain: which makes it a brilliant game. Still got in a closet somewhere.

I have it, but quickly lost interest in it. It was too repetetive for me. I'm sure I never did half of all the possibilities in the game, I got bored before that.
