SCREW AOE, lemme ask ya a question: Are you a real flight-sim pilot? It seems to me that you're one of those guys who want nothing more than fly and shoot. To fly AOE you must know aerial dogfighting tactics, and the characteristic of each airplane--the one you fly and the one you fight against. For example, following a tight turning dogfight against a Bf-109 in a P-47 is not a healthy way of live; you'll use hit-and-run tactic instead. Understanding basic aerodynamics is also very useful. Remember, AOE is a FLIGHT SIMULATION game! It ain't no arcade shooting stuff!
And about having to repeat the same mission again and again, I don't quite know what did you mean. If you feel that a mission is way too hard, you can just bail out, replay the mission, and when you're still on the runway quit the mission. Your mission will be tagged as failed, and you'll be given another mission. That's all!

Note: If you forget to backup your career and got all shot up, you can use the above mention trick, or close the game forcibly (by CRTL+ALT+DEL). This way, AOE won't save your last mission flown. At least it worked when one day the goddamn electricity's out while I was playing this game.

Did you ever try this? Just after you land, don't kill the engine, keep the throttle at 3 or 4 keyboard setting, and turn outta the runway to the taxiway, then follow the path to the tarmac and park your plane there. I know it's a bit ridiculous (VERY ridiculous if you're not a real flight-simmer), but I find it very pleasant to do.
Have a nice flight!

Of course not. Kosta is the one who should be angry with you, because obviously it's he as the site owner who would be held responsible.

/me still detects anger.

I dont think he's angry either, he just doesnt quite understand that the origional companies of games NeVeR want their games taken down, it's the people who bought them out and dont understand that the authors want a legacy that do that.

In any case, i DONT want to discuss this in TWO forums anymore. I have stated what i think should happen with this game, and i have nothing else to say in this forum unless someone posts in here again.

This has nothing to do with anger, but I still think you're missing the point slightly: this may not sound fair, but what the authors want or don't want and what Bill Clinton does or doesn't permit us to do is in fact irrelevant. It's the people who own the rights who legally own those games, and if they don't like us to put them up here, we won't. It's as simple as that, and that's been the site's policy for quite some time now. And it's not like we had nothing to lose either: ESA could have the entire site closed down; they very nearly did just that a couple of months ago because of a few games which had been put up for download due to a slight misunderstanding. I don't know about you, but I for one really don't think that's a risk worth taking.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with the game any more.

hmm... i am surprised that you were seriously threatened like that.
but of course, all this is your business, not mine, and it's my fault for starting all this bullshit. I am sorry.

I have nothing more to say. I am deleting my links to these forums, and I will not be checking back.

when I fly a mission, it acts as if my joystick is pulled allthe way to the left.
I have this problem too. I'm using a USB Logitech Dual Action controller, DOSbox on an XP.
