SCREW AOE, lemme ask ya a question: Are you a real flight-sim pilot? It seems to me that you're one of those guys who want nothing more than fly and shoot. To fly AOE you must know aerial dogfighting tactics, and the characteristic of each airplane--the one you fly and the one you fight against. For example, following a tight turning dogfight against a Bf-109 in a P-47 is not a healthy way of live; you'll use hit-and-run tactic instead. Understanding basic aerodynamics is also very useful. Remember, AOE is a FLIGHT SIMULATION game! It ain't no arcade shooting stuff!
And about having to repeat the same mission again and again, I don't quite know what did you mean. If you feel that a mission is way too hard, you can just bail out, replay the mission, and when you're still on the runway quit the mission. Your mission will be tagged as failed, and you'll be given another mission. That's all! Note: If you forget to backup your career and got all shot up, you can use the above mention trick, or close the game forcibly (by CRTL+ALT+DEL). This way, AOE won't save your last mission flown. At least it worked when one day the goddamn electricity's out while I was playing this game. |

Did you ever try this? Just after you land, don't kill the engine, keep the throttle at 3 or 4 keyboard setting, and turn outta the runway to the taxiway, then follow the path to the tarmac and park your plane there. I know it's a bit ridiculous (VERY ridiculous if you're not a real flight-simmer), but I find it very pleasant to do.
Have a nice flight! |

/me still detects anger.
I dont think he's angry either, he just doesnt quite understand that the origional companies of games NeVeR want their games taken down, it's the people who bought them out and dont understand that the authors want a legacy that do that. In any case, i DONT want to discuss this in TWO forums anymore. I have stated what i think should happen with this game, and i have nothing else to say in this forum unless someone posts in here again. |

[/b][/quote] hmm... i am surprised that you were seriously threatened like that. but of course, all this is your business, not mine, and it's my fault for starting all this bullshit. I am sorry. I have nothing more to say. I am deleting my links to these forums, and I will not be checking back. |
