Baldur's gate 3, if they ever had plans on making it...

Another sad event was when Looking Glass Studios (developper of Thief and System Shock) went belly up... alongside most of its projects.
Most of the Looking Glass team have got together under a new name and are working on a sort of spiritual successor to System Shock, called Bioshock.

It's not actually a sequel, as they don't have the license to any of the SS world or characters (that, apparently, belongs to... *shudders* Electronic Arts), but it will have the same sort of atmosphere.

It involves exploring an abandoned genetics lab filled with mutated creatures, all of whom have a preset hierarchical structure and way of acting, and you can use DNA strands to adjust your abilities. Looks pretty cool.

Oh, and Sam & Max: Freelance Police gets my vote too.

Civilization 4 gets my vote.
Sure it hasn't been cancelled but I hate some of the changes that make the game as good as cancelled for me.

I know, but it's still sad that they "lost" the license to thief and system shock.
The chances of seeing another Thief game are slim at best.

The largest overall dissapointing cancellation was the game Babylon 5.
The creators were flooded with so much email that they had to create multiple accounts to handle it.

For me the biggest cancellation would have to be Amen, which was looking to be a awesome promising. shooter.

I don't know if this counts as a cancelation, but - Diablo 3.
Why did they stop on such a great game? WHY???

P.S. When the first time I heard that Max Payne 2 won't be released because the company got bankrupt I almost died. But when it came back, the Payne sparkle was lost forever...

When blackisle was closed down, all those great games of Torment 2, any thoughts of Baldur's gate 3 etc. died. They knew they were going to die, and apparently TeamBG (separate group that soon died after) knew it and made the idesp project.

Sam and Max 2 definitely
And
WISH personally I don't like MMORPGs but WISH had a huge fan base, and it was only in beta testing, I don't see why the cancelled it.

And Duke Nukem hasn't been cancelled, its almost done

How can you possibly know that 3 months before playing it?
