I did not especially like this offering by the now famous Yahtzee. Oh, by the standards of freeware adventure games that aren't remakes, it's pretty darn good, but I do have more then a few complaints. My biggest complaint is that none of the characters were really likeable or even really noticeable. It is a crude estimate, but I find a good way to judge a characters level of personality is when they develop their own voice for when I read the lines to myself in my head. Of the characters, only the captain really did that, and we all probably know what happens to him pretty early on. I know it's hard to write a character who can pop like this, but without characters that feel special to the player, horror becomes a dispassionate question of who dies next in a flood of pixelated gore. Oh and this game floods all right. The background design is competent, yet very antiseptic. That's probably intentional, this is a starship after all, yet it makes the going back and forth common to this genre even more tedious.

I will disagree with you, the lack of a "mr nice guy" character is an adding touch to some stories. It wouldnt be the classic nightmare story since in the nightmare story, the spectator must see himself on the main character.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey folks,
This game just took my breath away. This does have some real, real, real, real horror and suspense. This is a MUST PLAY for ANY COMPUTER USER(who has a bit of nerves and won't faint dead away). I really wish they make a sequel to this damn great game:woot2::woot2::woot2:: woot2::woot2::woot2::woot2::woot2::woot2::woot2::w oot2::woot2: |

There are four games in the series and this is only the second one.

7 Days a Skeptic and 5 Days a Stranger is awesome.. I actually played 7 days first, but it was so great that I had to play the first one, and was not disappointed. This deserves 5 stars in my opinion.

plot-holes
great game just finished 5DS and 7DS in one afternoon
have some comments though *SPOILERS* btw has anyone noticed that when you enter will's room, if you look at the body on the floor it says it's made up of parts from at least 3 bodies? problem is angela's body is intact in the brig where it remains until the end of the game so that's left us with serena's and barry's bodies. now when u notice this, things seem pretty clear, the 3rd body must be william and adam is the killer but you soon find out that's not the case so I found this to be a rather unpleasant lapse. also I didn't like the fact that it's never made really clear that you're imagining seeing serena walking around after she'd been killed (like it's always obvious what's dream and what isn't in 5DS) this makes you constantly think there is some story twist you're missing when there obviously isn't in this case. like the ending though, found it rather amusing the atmosphere is great in both titles so it's only because of these plot-holes that I find 5DS better |
