When I was alone in the clan, I used to give title which matched the title you have on this board. Like "forum hobit"... "Call me God" is one of them. :P

I know sometimes it is hard to get there and play it even for a little bit, but I try to have some fun from time to time... sometimes I might be a week or two without showing up, but some other times I'm able to play it everyday. One advice I can give you: don't give up on all the good things you like to do.

Ok, now the great (I think) news: I've finally ascended in hardcore oxigenary mode - damn, that was really hard... Now I'm motivated to do it again

Yeah, hardcore is where it's at. I'm currently doing both Teetotaler and Oxy. I actually find Teet easier than normal hardcore on many levels, since stomach of steel allows you to eat more, and you tend to find more good food than you do booze.
I'm planning to do a few more HC Teet ascensions to build up some killer skills so I can tackle the HC Oxy quicker. I'm currently taking the root of reagent potions, they make it possible to strike well above your weight with regards to where you can adventure, and ingredients are easy to find once you've got to the Hippy Store. I've already HC permed Advanced Saucecrafting and I'm planning on getting the skill that doubles the duration of the potions this ascension, that'll make things much faster and easier.
The other cool thing about Teet ascensions is that you get stainless steel items as rewards, which you can use fairly early on, while in Oxy you can't use your reward until quite late in the ascension. I did consider alternating Teet and Oxy HC ascensions, but I realised that I wouldn't ever be able to eat the pate rewards for doing Teet as I'd always get them while in Oxy.

I'm thinking of testing all the classes in HC, to give me a feeling of all the classes, giving me the full set of stainless steel items, and perming their most useful skills. Then I'll probably take some more HC permed skills and then go for Oxycore runs. Or speedruns.

By the way, I did Gourdcore on an Oxy run. Damn that was boring.

Level 40!?

That's incredibly high. Level 30 is regarded as extremely high, that's why you get a trophy for it. 40 would take yonks.

Even before ascension was implemented and there was nothing to do but to level up as high as you could, I was only level 21 by the time I ascended for the first time (just as a little boast, I ascended on the very first day that it was implemented) and that was with a buffed moxie of over 1,500!

And did any of you managed to get any grimacite chuncks? I have 2 of them, but what should I do with it (besides giving them to that weird guy who also asks me for 25000 meat along with each block)?
