Ending.
Hey all. Just visiting...
...still, I remember this and have my copy from 1996 or thereabouts. The ending is utter fail, though I'm told that the reworked ending wasn't. But the reworked ending only appears in the US version. Can somebody please post or link the non-fail US ending as I would like to see it. As regards getting it working, I'm going to try and run my original copy in Dosbox to get a setup that works. I remember it was tricky to get running even back in the day, we had to ring up the publishers and get them to go through our Config.sys (!) |

When i download it says i'm missing decor.dat..... where is it? can't find in extras!!!
the new download should have it but when i download fable it say missing decors.dat when i start a new game!! help! Last edited by arete; 02-11-2009 at 06:49 AM. |

Issue
Admittedly, I haven't read through all the comments so I dont know if there was an alternative solution to this problem. The games still freezes up for me, during the first conversation, regardless of how much I enhance the cycles. I'm using xp and DOSbox. I can play with no issue as long as I move the mouse really slowly, but I think we can all agree, thats no way to play a point and click game.

I used to live with one of the guys who made Fable.
Martin Bell (-end). He works for Microsoft on Xbox stuff, so he used to be good for getting pre-release games. Until I grew up and realised that PS3 is better than Xbox. |

Advice
It is a good idea for anyone uploading games to make sure that you include ALL of the files AND make sure it works the way it should.
