I just installed Chessmaster 8000 after a long while. Now I´m a litlle astounded cause it doesn´t seem to work at all. But I am sure that I ran the game on my ol´ 2k machine.
However, under winxp it doesn´t seem to work.
For example the menu bar doesn´t work properly and from time to time the program breaks down. I also tried the 1.04 update but that doesn´t change much.
What do you think can I do?

BTW Chess... Does really noone know how to solve this problem. I bought Fritz7 which actually runs fine on my system. But it´s anything else than relaxed gaming if you know what I mean
Further I´d like to use the huge databas of CM8000... So help would be appreciated

Sorry for the double post. But I couldn´t imagine anyone crawling in the dumps of `Troubleshooting´ to find my edited post
