Well that site above seems like it wouldn't have warez... so it kinda seems like abandonware.

The motivation behind hosting this game is as follows;

1. The owner of this software no longer actively supports the game or its gaming community;
2. this software is over 9 years old;
3. it is not available in the intended brand new retail form as it came from its distributer; and
4. many potential gamers are being turned away due to lack of availability.

i work with tournamenthouse.com to ane xtent (being an avid CC2 player for 6 years now)

we diecided that hosting CC2 was the only way to keep the online fan base and multiplayer ~(which is what we love cc2 for).

there was a big discussion about it and it was diecided to host it at CSO.

I think this topic needs to be re-adressed, the link is unavailable, the game is hosted on home of the underdogs but thier DL has a critical error making it almost impossible to play on the online community at TH, if you guys could somehow fix the problem to make it flexible enough to add the mods required, and then host it here at your wonderfull site (we are always reffering people to abandionia.com for great free games k: ) i can almost garantee full support from the TH community who needs a few more faces around, were only down to about 15 reg players now.

Anyway, please give this some more thought!

Unfortunately, we can do no such thing. All the Close Combat games are ESA Protected, and will be for several years to come. As such we can't host them on this site.
