Becouse in that way new members will see how many people of their nationality is active on forum, in that way they may stick to the forum rather than post just few posts and leave.

It's more interesting than location, where you can type in ztzuire if you want,but someone would have to collect all those flags...

pretty good idea, even if someone could still select any country for his own, just as it's now with the locations field. don't know, if it has to be flags, but some sort of reference below the avatar would be nice!

right, but how do you determine where a certain member comes from? you have to rely on the personal information in his / her profile, maybe through a drop-down menu. what information a member gives (and if they are correct) cannot be checked.
