is Sams Teach Yourself C++ in 21 day a good book?
I think it is................, a good book about Win app programing.
But if you need to learn C++ from scratch, try to find another good book.
Then later on you can return to your previous book.

You should try Bruce Eckels free e-book.
The link is on the beginning of this topic. [/b][/quote]
hmm that ebook looks helpfull, I will read into it after I have the time...

... meaning, that it's not exactly a "cover to cover"* kind of book. An excellent reference though!

*On further thought; these are useless when it comes to programming books, so that's a good thing. All I mean was, you can't really "read into it" :P

Can you tell me (if you heard of it ) is "The C++ programming language" by Byarne Stroustrup worth buying.
I need a book that can teach me C++, as I already know C.
Thanks. k:

I dunno anout that one, but presently I'm reading "the complete idiots guide to C++" its just what I was looking for. it also covers some of the major upgrades that C++ has over C Nrmmyth.
