Default Who's singing this?

The video's poster claims the singer is Laura Branigan, but I've found information both supporting and contradicting that claim. Any idea if she is the actual singer, and if not - then who is?

That's Bonnie Tyler - I need a hero. At least I think she sung the original. There have been many cover version of that song.

I know she sung the orignal. But the song in the video is a cover by someone else.

Oops, sorry.. didn't listen up to the refrain. Her voice was similar to Bonnie Tyler's.

I have the Jennifer Saunders version and it's different.

This version has been around before Shrek 2, IIRC.

As she is listed as the performer on the official listing for the movie, I put my money on J.Saunders. ( And its sounds as her voice).
The song is most probably been re-arranged for the movie.
