Just my opinion, but I'd have to agree: I thought M1 was the best, and the humor in M2 was generally pretty tired. M3 was almost as good as M1. I'll never forget that pirate chief with his sad tale of how "real men never bend their knees" when picking heavy objects up.

I didn't like MI4 like the other 3, however my favourites are the first and the second.

Now I'm playing the second...I have just participated to the match for spitting.
Absolutely lovely .

Seriously? Did you play MI1&2 after MI3 perhaps? Because i found MI3's humour really tired - using old jokes (the singing barbers to only name ones) to the extreme. The more detailed graphics took away the feel of the game too - it was more Broken Sword now in feel.

While I prefered the look&fell of MI1 and MI2, I did like MI3 more than MI2. The beginning of MI2 was ok, but the end part... Really weird. MI1 was the best of the three, but the others were fine, too.

The best MIs, in my opinon, were #1 followed closely by #3, then down there somewhere; #2 and waaay down there #4 (although I did laugh like a madman when I gave Herman his memory back )

I agree with most of you guys, I'd rank the games the same way... I still feel that some of the puzzles in MI2 were just a little too much, but maybe it was just me after all. I didn't have a hard time with the other two so maybe I just wasn't in a twisted enough state of mind when I played MI2.

SPOILER: However, I'm not sure why I felt bad for the monkey and for Kate, yet rather enjoyed nailing Stan into the coffin. Hilarious scene... "Thank God this is the deluxe model" hehehe.

I didn't like the Monkey puzzle too, but about Kate, well you can always open the jail with the key

I guess opinions differ vastly then.
Recently played the first three in sequence. Personally I thought MI2 was easily the least enjoyable of the bunch :wondering:
I liked MI3 best myself. Although that's in part due to the hilarious voicing. Remove that and I'm torn between 1 and 3.
