Having downloaded colonization and ready to install this question comes "up what sound card?". Its not like im going to find my new Creative Audio .... around all those Roland, Sound Blasters of diffrent kindes. I have a problem with sound to x-com game and civilization 1 as well and i think the problems are related. The soundfiles i x-com doesnt give any sound in my speakers when i play them in winamp either, can this be a clue. Can some one aid me, please? |

Use DOSBox and set the settings to Souldblaster or Compatible.
DOSBox emulate Soundblaster and thus it will work even if you don't really have a Soundblaster card in your computer tower. You could also use VDMSound. Same thing. |

when you choose soundblaster or roland (which is also emulated by dosbox) be sure to set the address, dma and irq right. Look in your DOSBox.conf for further information.
Default is (for SB) A220 IRG 7 DMA 1 |
