Wow. This certainly is a challenge for Spore's producers. Such a complex game...it won't end well, but one can always hope and we all know that there's always a beggining for everything.

Why not? it looks like its going perfectly fine, people seem to be liking it, and Electronic Arts seem to be just putting the final touches on it, so what could go wrong?

I have chills and the names of Black and White, Outpost, hovering over it. I hope they make it though. Would you be able to play onlin single player or once you go to space you have to fight with players?

The 1UP preview thing does a good job of explaining it, they interviewed Will Wright for it. ...unfortunatly, you have to wait through a bunch of stuff to get to it, as it's at the end of the video.

This game looks very promising, especially according to the preview videos. However, it's not a rare case that a massive hype gets raised about an upcoming title, and everybody's expecting the next big thing, and when the game finally gets released it gets deemed as a flop, and not so much because the fact that the game is not really all that good, but because it failed quite the number of expected results. Half-Life 2 is one of the examples of this, IMHO. Everybody thought it's going to be a game that would be talked about for the next 15 years. And the game IS very good, but it's just not anything ground-breaking. And anyone remember Red Faction? I don't think many of you do. Anyway, don't wanna stretch this post too long, Spore's gonna rule, if the developers play their cards right.
