Ultrabot
Long time ago I used to play a game in which you drive robots(or just battle machines) in pseudo3d enviroment, one of them looked like a red scorpio, it could make energy grids which the other machines will use to move. The other was a yellow and biped, and there was a blue one that I don't remember. I hope it rings a bell. :help:

I can't remember the title, but I think it was made by NovaLogic, using the same voxel-based engine as Comanche1. Quite interesting game, anyway.

Mmm, definately not Mechwarrior, they didn't utilise grids to move that were made by other robots, and I don't think any of them looked like a red scorpion....or any kind of scorpion really.

Was the game done from inside the mech (first person style) or 3'rd person style? What do you remember about the graphics? (I'm wondering if it could be Shattered Steel, but kinda doubt it... but it's the only mech game I've found that uses voxels in the brief period i've searched, if Bobbin is right).

You're sitting inside the mechs. Each of them has different cockpits and statistics, one is a fast runner (the yellow), another one a good fighter (the blue one), and the red scorpion is a kind of transporter, which enables you to plant power emitters and expand your energy grid. I played the game quite a lot, but the name simply won't come to my mind.

I finally remembered the title (with a little help from mobygames). It is called Xenobots or Ultrabots (US title) and was made by NovaLogic in 1993. A fine game but unfortunately ESA-protected.
