There seems to be a problem with the controls in the versions of SWOS I have played. When a player that I control is running from the top of the screen towards the bottom I can't make the player shoot diagonally. However, if I run in the opposite direction, i.e. from the bottom of the screen towards the top then I can shoot diagonally.

Any ideas why I cannot shoot diagonally when running towards the bottom of the screen?

Thx

Hihi... I remember this problem well...

My bro and me were playing Sensible Soccer those days on the Amiga. We used to differentiate between Soccer games where the ball "sticks" to the player and those where this wasn't the case.

Playing sensible soccer is a game where the ball doesn't stick. So you lose the ball when you stop running. You probably play it with the keyboard so you may find it more difficult to shoot diagonally. Having a joystick this becomes much easier.

Be sure it's about your skill and possibility. Train it.

If i have the actual game and i want to install it but play it with DosBox is this still possible? I'm talking about sensible world of soccer the 96-97 version. When i install it and move all the contents to CDrive and then type sws.exe i get a message saying Cd Rom drive read error!

I loaded the correct drive as the tutorial said with me it's F: for the cdrom drive.

why cant DosBox read my CD Rom drive? i actually own ther game but i think it would run better in dosbox if you guys can help me.

Much appreciated , Moe
