Talking Forward and forward...

TY dear Wardencz and Twillight,

I suspect that Wardencz is the masked author of Fallout 2? Confess man!
Or he is walking WT of the game.

Done missions:

1. Deliver beer and booze (10 each) to Lydia. Yoga become smuggler, pls do not tell authority. No more.

2. Deliver pliers and wrench to unkind and rude Valery. It is a real shame for Vic to have so bad daughter..If I know this fact I wouldn't be so tolerant to this girl.

3. I rescued the ill Joshua.

In progress;
To scout 8 sectors around Gesko.
It is stupid idea to name Gesko- an animal and a town and special equipment (GESK). Maybe is better to rename the game to GESKO?
Ha ha ha

Q: I do not know where are these 8 sectors around Gesko?
I entered the same town, but have no idea where to find sectors? What they look like?

OFF
I am afraid to post attachment files because my limit is 20% remaining only? What Y do in same case?

yog - a proud commander of 3-men army.
I want to be commander of 10-12 men.
Ha ha ha

Those sectors you are speaking of, are the squares on the overland map, what you need to do is to travel around the square in which Gecko is located (all the squares around the Gecko must be "highlighted" and that means that you already were there)

EDIT: I don't know if you are purposedly typing/saying the "S" letter in all those names, but there is a "C" letter instead of "S". =) (ie. GECKO)

As for your companions, they aren't pokemons, you don't need to catch them all. =)

EDIT nr.2: All I know about FO2 is only of my personal experience, not some walktroughs or stuff, it not might be perfect, but still enough to enjoy the game.

The eight sectors around Gecko are the 8 squares around Gecko on the overland travel map. Just enter each of them and you're done.

Do as you wish. You have plenty of time and more XP is always beneficial, you might even be able to make additional skill checks if you gain skill raises by leveling up or trading the loot you find for science books from shopkeepers who restock every few days.
But on the other hand you get more powerful by exploring the game, you can find more than just XP this way, you'll have easier battles if you do random encounters with better equipment and you can find more difficult and more rewarding random encounters in other parts of the desert.

My recommendation: If you like doing so do it, but don't force yourself. No need to run around in one location, you can travel between settlements to benefit from restocking merchants who trade your heavy loot for money, stimpaks or other useful stuff.
For finding the merchants who sell the best stuff and the locations which offer the best random encounters you have to explore the world.

Talking :))

Rodger that, amigos!

I like to investigate the Desert.
It is my habit from all RPG games.
My army is very good equipped and trained.
Little walking will be good practice.
I do not hurry at all.

Soon I will report my entire data.
Main: 8 level, 4-men, Vault city, AC = 30.
Non stop improve my armor and weapon. Commandos also.

But I note that together with my improvement, the opponents became better and better, they not stay at low levels. True?

I am sorry that in FO2 have no FLY option..
Maybe in FO3 is possible this action?
Ich habe keine Idee.

Viva las Vegas..

Not to mess things up, but I think yoga has some bugged version of Fallout 2.
I had no problem getting out Vic by paying out his dept, nor searched constantly after I gained and used at Vault City gate the False Citizenship papers, not even after this I made Skeeve imprisoned. (I started a new playthrough encouraged by yoga just recently.)

About companions: recruiting any of them worth epx, so keep on doing this, But only keep those you think will be a useful addition (a hint: don't be married until you clean the mines in Broken Hills, and Vic or Cassidy can be very useful when you try to enter the SAD).
Also, you have the LIMIT of FIVE companion. There is no possibility to have more then 5 (ok, maybe 6 if you never drop out any, and fany for marriage).
If you want heavy firepower though, I suggest recruiting Marcus (he's Big Guns specialist). Also there is Lenny in Gecko for you if you go for the numbers.

Joshua is not the ill one. He was just taken to servantry. The ill person is Charlie, lying in a tent. You have to use doctor skill on him, and after you succeed use a RadAway on him.

Also don't forget to get free books from the library (information center, or whatever it is called).

About "fly" option: there is the car, remember? Get the part from Gecko, go back and buy it. Immediatelly after that make the other carpart installed, then go to NCR for enchancement, and there is another enchancement in New Reno (technically two, but if you don't have Kilap's patch you won't get it I'm sure). Then enchancement do not give speed, only better fuel-ratio.
The "Pathfinder" perk also fastens your travel (and by that gives even better fuel-use).

Fallout2 doesn't have level scaling, so the reason for better enemies is either the encounter randomness or harder areas you explore. Or you becoming worse and worse .

Marcus and Lenny are bit problematic party members. If I recall correctly, you can't enter Vault City with them until you become citizen, and it will affect some NPCs there.

Also, Marcus and Sulik...well, in short. Give Sulik .223 pistol unless you wanna see him accidentally torn apart by Marcus' minigun.

Btw, with unofficial patch, it is possible to have up to 8 party members (tho you definitely don't want the 8th). 5 usual recruits with CH 10, 1 additional from Magnetic Personality perk (that does not work normally, fixed by unofficial patches), oone from marriage, and most hated, the Pariah dog.

Of course Marcus can be problematic. To be honest any partymember with bursting weapon can be problematic (they can tear appart ANY friendly critters, especially problem in the NCR caravan quest). But if someone wants raw power, there is no better then Marcus.
Hint: if you become Captain of the Guards, Lenny and Marcus will be allowed into Vault City (but will still have problem when you talk with Lynette).

Magnetic Personality do NOT rise your NPC-limit above 5, and that was not a bug (see the perk-description: "more then 5 is always a crowd"). I also not see a note about this changing in Kilap's patchnote.

Pariah dog only technically will be a partymember. But it does not fight, lowers the LK to 1, and makes you jinxed (lots and lots of critical failures it causes).
Btw I did mention Pariah earlier, but only because I just recently read (I personally never found this dog) that it does not fight.

Also keep in mind, that having NPCs above your CH-limit will prevent you ever telling any of them to stay behind, what can be problematic in Navaro or Enclave.
