Shouldn't you set permissions so, that guests can't post in the forum, now it seems to happen a lot that people (who are registered) post as a guest by mistake because they simply forget to login...

It makes sense you allow the guests to post in the Abandonia games discussions since this forum is linked from the main site, but I think for the other forums you should change the permission that guests only can read the forum so that they have to login to post.

i dunno if forgetting is always the case
i logged in a wee while back made a post came up guest
same happened again
then clear cookies and signed in and it worked.

Guests bring flavour to the forum. At least that is what I think. :wink:

Personally I think that if somebody wants help the least he/she can do is register so it's easier to distinguish between all different guests

Guests can type in a name when they post and if everyone had to register then we would be clogged up with inactive users.

I think that quests should be limited in that they can only post in the troubleshooting section. That way we have the best of both worlds. No 1000+ registered members with a single post and also no guest posts in parts of the forum we don't want them to post.

Anyway i support Picard; i mean guests shouldn't have access to all the forum topics

Well for example John Johnson is unregistered and he posts something and in name line he writes John Johnson and some other day his "friend" comes to forum and posts somthing like that "I`m stupid, my mother is a cow and blablabla" and in name line he writes John Johnson.
And i agree that guest could post only in trobleshoting thread.
