haaha you've got NO problem there... you see.. most of the mothers that come with an onboard video, share some of your ram memory to the video device... then if you have 256 MB of ram and your on board video uses 32 MB, then 256 - 32 = 224 MB of ram.... got it? you can configure the ammount of memory to share on the setup screen....

I have 480

Which really puzzled me until I figured out the onboard video device used 32 of my 512 mb installed

Me too. Alas, the main memory is usually slower than vram. So you most probably also have one of these "better typewriters". Most games on Abandonia should be no problem, however.
