I was thinking about buying a 486 Computer, just to play some of these old school games without having to bother with any of the DosBox configuring. I have an extra monitor and I think the computer wouldn't cost me more than $25.

So the question is:

Does anyone know of any good sites to buy already built 486 computers (besides ebay)?

Ebay had only three or four 486 computers on it, none of which interested me.

Is there a Cash Converters or Cash Generator anywhere near you?

If not, you might find one in a charity shop.

You might also want to check universities and colleges, some times their IT department has computers to give away or sell at very low prices.

I got 21 486 CPU's for free, along with 6 monitors, 32 harddrives, and a few gigs of SIMM RAM in total

I know only what i posted in "Vintage Computing". I was looking for such a site too.
But I think it's great that more and more people buy old computers for DOS games.

Its really hard to find places that sell these..at least here..1giggers is about the slowest most the shops sell. But I often see such computers in the newpaper classifieds. I thought about doing this myself but I dont have room for another computer..my game room is already overflowing with crap.
