I used to play it back then, nice dungeon-crawling game.

Oh, the army encounters in the wilderness.
They were such a pain, until I found out that fleeing was incredibly simple: you had to click on the "Map" monster on the far-left part of the screen and lo, you were back on the map. Weird, though.

(Also, armies seemed to comprise of actual people judging by the encounter screen, but after engaging with them, you saw that they were all monsters. Goblins, Beholders,Minotaurs...not a single human!!!)

Well, that's neat! I reviewed 4 Crystals when it showed up in the US, and played it periodically over the years; loved it up to the end, which was way over the top in sudden difficulty. And now I find there was a successor using the same engine! Does it have that same problem, though, with the final boss being obscenely difficult?

Thumbs up Nice Game

Working out how to play the game was a chore. Guess that's what manuals are for, eh? For some reason, I cannot get the game to load saved games however. I'm sure if I play around with it, I'll figure it out. Thanks.

Nice game which I completed many years ago, but for the longest time I was stuck on a puzzle room, when suddenly I solved it without really knowing how I did it lol. I'll have to play it again someday.

Anyway, here's a link to all you need to know to complete the game and more:
