Hello all, I am new here. I have been banging my head all day trying to figure out how the hell I am suppose to get dosbox running correctly.

WindowsXP (SP1 5.1.2600 build 2600)
AMD 64 (2.0GHz)

this is what I have in my .conf file

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount C C:\DOS\CDrive
mount D D:\ -t cdrom
C:
CLS

I have been trying everything, but I haven't been able to figure this onee out.

Also the other screwy thing is if I just normaly open up dosbox I get to C:\> which is normal and what is suppose to happen. But if I try it the fast way (dropping the .exe in the dosbox .exe) I get to Z:\>

Please I need some serious help. :ranting: :help:

Yes that is what I was following. I am trying to run heroes of might and magic (one of my favorite old school games of all time)

But yeah, the message I get is "Unable to access CD drive"

Maybe it is where I installed DOSbox

C:\DOS\DOSBox-0.63

Is that where it should go by the tutorial?
