after studying at colleges(of art)
Study being the keyword... I don't see why people need to teach artistic techniques. This reminds me very much of art teachers claiming that one persons piece is not 'art' because it was not done to their standards (the teachers) although IMO the students piece showed much more artistic talent and imagination.

Anyway, I like all your works.. I just feel that you was a little to abrupt with Abi.

yes it may be different oppinions but yu have to learn to express it in a suitable way...
I think what you said here expresses my point very well.

Yes, Abi may have said he preferred swiss's style, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, or how he said it, from what I can see. He simply stated his preference, and then edited the post to explain why (he likes pretty colors).

However, even if he were truly negative and said something more along the lines of "Wow, I really don't like your art," well... is it really a suitable way of confronting him by telling him that he hasn't studied art professionally, and doesn't get paid for his artwork, and therefore he is ignorant and his opinion doesn't count, and so he shouldn't express it?

Anyway, I agree with Magic. Personally, I've never studied the principles of art or design other than what I have taught myself. Have I had art displayed professionally? Sure. Have I been paid for my designs? Here and there, yes, when I'm willing to accept money for it (I do it for fun, not for profit).

But am I an artist? ... I personally think the real answer to that question is that it doesn't really matter, as long as I enjoy what I produce, and perhaps produce things that others enjoy as well.

Magic and Tai made some very good statements, so I'm not going further into the matter Abi vs Himmler, except for the fact that you, Himmler, as an artist, should be ready to accept critics of any kind, as long as they're not openly insults. And, c'mon, a :bleh: should be taken as a joke.
As for commenting...I've not commented since a couple months, but I'll do an execption for this gallery. The way you handle colouring is quite original, using real painting tech to colour digital images (which are usually coloured using virtual airbrushes, layers and other PS/Gimp stuff). I'd like to see more of it, maybe a drawing by you+ your own colouring? That'd be quite interesting.

Keep up the good work, try to complete the good work and don't be so abrupt with people that are just expressing their own opinion.

A little P.S:

You were banned the first day you subscribed because you made 3 or 4 comments in art galleries, one of these being something like "OMG WHAT'S THIS! IT SUCKS!!!" You didn't show much respect in that occasion.

that's a good one even though it's quite disgusting. I like the blood effect but think that you should lighten thebackground behind "production" to increase readability ...
