Did you click on install and fool around?
All you have to do is unzip the game and start the Exe, if that doesn't work try the batch file since that works much more often.
Otherwise it's some other sort of problem and I need more details.

(P.S. Sound does not work in XP for me and many other people, you prolly don't even have XP)

:help:

No, blood-piggy

I followed the Dosbox tutorial exactly as it said.

it said to extract the game to the CDrive folder,

then in dosbox say dir, cd alien(what i called it), dir again, and then install.

it took me to a couple of screens and on the screen where you are asked for

the destination drive and directory, i didn't know what to say.

on the next screen it had a meter showing 0% and it said i was missing trilogy.ico.

I dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm new at this, i've never been to abandonia before.

If you dont have to install the game then how do u start it from the dosbox screen thingy.

At any rate what is the exe and what the hell is a batch file

(p.s. I have windows XP)

Ok, here's a guide.

Uninstall ALL Alien Trilogy files you have on your PC right now.
Download the zip and unzip all the files to one directory. In this example let's say... C:\Games\AlienTrilogy
Start up Dosbox
Now do as it said (if you know this already sorry.
Type Mount c C:\Games\AlienTrilogy
Press enter, now type C: then press enter.
Now type Dir and press enter.
Now it shows a list of files.
The main Alien Trilogy file is simply called Trilogy
Type in Trilogy and press enter.
THERE IS NO NEED TO MESS AROUND WITH INSTALL FILES OR ANYTHING.

I got it thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just wondering if there was anyway to go right into the game without doing any of that mounting stuff?

Unfortunatly no.
There is a seperate program, (I forgot the name) but it can be very unstable at times and cause incompatibility with games.

I suggest you keep up with mounting  .
Yes...

Sound doesn't work in Dosbox as far as I know (And most people don't have sound working on their PC, unlike some rude jackwad earlier in the thread)
As for controls, if you know Doom you can figure out Alien Trilogy.

And yes, you use the keyboard to navigate the menu.

Oh, and you can figure out the controls by going to options and going to Control, clicking redefine, and looking at what's there.
It's pretty simple.
