I read all opinions, concerning W 8. Well, i have many friends who using Windows every days. No one of them, even my PC service specialist use this W 8. I do not care about mobile devices at all. The history tells me: - Win 98 - shit - Win XP - good - Win Vista - shit - Win 7 - good - Win 8 - shit - Win 9 - good? OK, i will wait for W 9, following above logics. My both W7 - Pro and Ultimate served me well. (I have XP at both machines also - natural and virtual for bad days - ) PC 1 - 7 Pro + XP Pro virtual - Index - 5.9 from 7.9 PC 2 - 7 Ulti + XP Pro natural (what an epithet- ha ha) Index 2.8 from 7.9 I think the best Windows is Linux Mandriva.

Win 3.11 was great. The staple of its time. It started it all too.
Never been a great platform for gaming though. DOS was way better back then. |

I would buy it upgrading my good old WinXP, if not fact that Win7 is four times more expensive than Win8. Too much. I can live with Win8 too. Fortunately, I never was a fan of fancy wallpapers, transparent menues, etc. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Quote:

-Нуте-ка, нуте-ка, Mr. SS, (Hmmm..this abbreviation may be not good for Russians, if You do not mind?) Do You know the words Schutz Staffel or Protection Squadron? Of course i am kidding. ... Do You think that Windows is better than Linux? I will disagree with You. But i do not want to start dispute of type: - Who is the first? The egg or the hen? Some good man from Spain, he is member of AB staff and his name is not Japo, thinks that the egg is the first.. ha ha ha or - How many devils can stand on the needle point?

Well, if there was emulator good enough to emulate all existing windowses and doses up to all games support - it would be best windows. But as Virtual Machines pretty close to it now - and they are exist on Windows - seems Windows win here too. |

Coming to your beloved hens, question is not "Who is the best flier among the birds". Question is "Who is the best hen among the birds". And answer is, obviously, hen! 2. Yoga, I doubt that such thing as "error-free program" is exist at all. And even if it would exist, I doubt that universal driver that support any type of hardware exist too. So your claim essentially means "Linux is old obsolete crap that infested with bugs and don't support any modern hardware, but we feel it perfect!" Fortunately, you are not right. Looking on any source (for example, Wikipedia for exactly Linux kernel) we'll see that Linux have constant flow of updates - exactly like any Windows. And if you'll look somewhat higher, you'll see that, unlike Windows, Torvalds even doesn't feel in mood to announce security breaches that he fixed. Leaving aside reasons of this decision, I can say that it's exactly the same "billions of updates". If you didn't see them, well, too bad. They are exist anyway. |
