i got the game several days ago and played a good part of it, but now i'm trying to attack harkonnen fortresses but i don't know how to get more than one fremen troup to attack at the same time
so please tell me how

You do espionage with one team and then you tell as much other teams as you wish to attack(tell them to go to the fort the espionage is done).
But maximal eight teams at one fort.
And then you smash 'em >

God...this game is a masterpiece...
I hope that someone will make a great remake soon...

I'm reading the 3d Herbert book and now I want to play it again and again and again...

I've found the cd version,
can somebody tell me what is the difference between this and the normal one?

I've got some problems with the installation process...ther's no sound...

If memory serves me right the difference was that the cd version contained dialogues. So I hope you can get the sound to work

Yes, right a-guest.
The dialogs are spoken, so sound is important...
The CD version also has a - for that time - revolutionary animation of the ornithopter flight. You fly over the dune or the rocks, which is really animated.
In the normal version the flight just goes straight and there's a few bumps in the ground illustrating the dunes.
