Crusader 2 is downloadable from Abandonia.
Crusader 1 has been published by Electronic Arts and is therefore under ESA protection until 2011 * * There are sources that claim it was Origin who published Crusader 1. If that can be confirmed, we could put it up for download some time soon. |

It does make a difference, since we have 15 year protection on core ESA members vs 10 year protection on their subsidiaries.

But isn't Origin as extinct as a diplodocus, and doesn't that change the core member/subsidiary thing? I mean, if Origin was alive and kicking, then it would be all clear, but with Origin dead, I thought any of their games are to be treated as EA property on the same level as any of EA's own games.

Defunct/disbanded status does not change anything.

Only the initial US release was also published by ORIGIN itself, I think.
[edit] Yeah, old game magazines say that it was published by ORIGIN, and the install guide referred to the ORIGIN Publishing Section and the ORIGIN Marketing Department. [/edit]

Are you running it in DOSBox? If not, then try that. It should work well in DOSBox if your pc is up for the task (you'd need more than 1 gHz and 256 mb ram which I suppose is no problem for most people today)
