And Triton if you were on my forum I'd warn you for trolling, don't spam this thread anymore and read my first post, OK?

I'm not sure what the question is for the third one.

You have to simplify the equation, so you can supstitute it, but I'm not sure what to do with (2x^3)

Well, log[2](2x^3) = log[2](x^3) + 1 for a start, and then log[2](x^3) = 3log[2](x), so you end up with

(log[2](x))^2 + 3log[2](x) + 2

and that's another quadratic term in log[2](x), so you can find roots like in question 1 again.

I knew my degree would be useful for something...

I wasn't trolling, I was just making an observation.

I like maths, but I prefer questions about derivitives(or something like that).

BTW I don't have a rar extracter at the moment, so I can't help just like that.

@Triton: That was not an observation, that was making a useless remark. If you can't contribute and aren't really upset with this thread (upset so much you'd want it closed) then just shut up and let the people talk about math problems (I imagine all three equasions are perfectly clear to you and you can solve them within seconds).

Please stop flaming me; I take offense to that (especially since my computer doesn't recognize those files).

Besides, I thought this was a conversation board, not a homework help board.

Yes, a conversation board featuring a conversation in which I'm trying to help Tulac with his maths problems, in order to aid his understanding of this wonderful subject, and in which you're annoying people by effectively butting in and going "Nyeeer, I'm telling on you; talking about maths homework! nyeeerrr!" which is a little offputting - this board isn't the one where you're a moderator.

Too bad you can't post the "maths" problems here, or I'd help as well.
