Have beaten the game and special edition. Was AWESOME! One of my old favorites and a classic. The replay value is endless but it is quite a difficult game, but very well done! :Brain:

Replay value? Endless?
As soon as you memorize the map, playing any race is so easy... Just rush for Death and you usually win fast... |

I never tried to memorize the map, and rushing Death isn't fair. =P It's much more challenging waiting for Death to expand and expanding yourself then having a clash over a city.

There should be some custom-made maps being supplied with the game, at least with the special edition - Legends of Urak. With them the replay value should increase to many additional hours. And the special edition also has a level editor supplied with the game which allows you to create own maps.

Ah, these games are all awesome. I own both Lords of Magic and Age of Wonders and I played them both a lot.
Isn't there allready a part 2 for AoW? Is it worth a try or better stick to the first part?

Well, i actually have AoW2 but not the first one. I dunno, second one is great but i remember liking the first one better... the second one really doesn't offer a whole lot more then the first. :Titan:
i love the tactical combat in AoW, so fun. |
