Talking about what we know of the history of the earth so far, the first living things were the simpliest algae and bacteria. With time they began to form more complex organisms and from there anything began.
Of course, it's still a question where the algae and bacteria came from. And maybe we'll never have an answer to this question... |

according to a rabbi 400 years ago:
G'd gave power to the earth and the water to bring forth life.

I voted for chicken! Why? Well....because chickens mutated from other spiece. Maybe that spiece didn't lay eggs? Or the first egg wasn't real chciken egg, so it was prechicken egg. I don't have any better explanations!

But it doesn't matter what kind of egg. Sure the first chicken laid the first chicken egg. But the chicken had to of come out of an egg. It's that egg that question revolves around. Or is it .....?

There simply coudln't be any of them first. Think of the evolution. There were small, fast running dinosaurs, then they started getting feathers and evolutionating to other species in all the long uncounted milleniums. And even in their dinosaur form they laid eggs already. And how can you know which of the dinosaurs was really the first bird and not dinosaur anymore? There was no shaped change, this happened over long time constantly.
If you think long enough of this, you'll realize that the question "Which came first - the chicken or the egg?" doesn't make sense. It cannot be answered. And as such, this dicussion is actually pointless. |

We are talking about the first of the animal known as a chicken. Sure there may have been other forms of it that came first. But we are talking about the chicken and if it evolved into a chicken from some other form, or did a mutant of the other form hatch out an egg as a chicken.

So the God placed two chickens on the earth. Thus they started to reproduce themselves with the help of eggs to serve the later coming humans as a form of food... :bleh:

Well, I'm for egg. It's the egg where the new kind of bird, the chicken, first came out. |
