Thanks. The latter. Same way I draw anything else, start with one thing (in this case, the hair), let it figure itself out from there, until I get the feeling it's "done".

The jack o'lantern looks a bit strange.
The random marks all over it kinda throw me off, are they supposed to be wounds or something?
