Dosbox can create "fake" CD-ROM mounts, mind you.

Get a program like alcohol 120% and mount the file onto your hardrive. Or burn it to a cd. It's that simple .

I got alcohol 120%. I have no CD writer. I don't get what I should do. As far as I understood you can only mount an image into your hard drive, and there is no image in the zip I downloaded from abandonia. I can't create an image from a file on my hard drive can I ?

You can create images from groups of files by using Nero's "image recorder" function.

I recently downloaded Albion because I played it when I was about fourteen years old and really enjoyed it, this game is responsible for me being addicted to unconventional RPGs. Anyways...
The installation itself wasn't very hard, all I had to do was unzip it with WinRAR instead of WinZip and run it with VDMSound. You can imagine my delight at seeing the menu screen finally appear. And you can imagine my disappointment when I realized my mouse wasn't working in the least.
I consider myself a somewhat experienced gamer, but when it comes to altering aspects of the games actual software, I am completely in the dark. If anyone has any suggestions to fix this problem, please let me know, I'm really anxious to get back into this game and kind of irritated that something of this nature is keeping me from it.

I can't seem to get this to work. It won't let me configure the sound in the setup file, and it wont work alone OR using VMDS. Any suggestions?

Run the setup with VDMSound. Default configuration is Sound Blaster 16, IRQ 7, DMA 1, Adress 220h.

Thumbs up

Okay, I know this is probably a stupid question, but I seriously can not figure it out. In the very beginning of the game, after Joe gives you the access code, I can't figure out how to input the code into the control panel on the door. I've right-clicked the control pad and clicked "manipulate," and a "Enter access code" window with a little slider bar comes up. How do I input the numbers!? Whenever I click "okay" over the number I wish to input, it just says "Incorrect password." I've tried seemingly everything from clicking on the numbers to using the numbers on my keyboard. I'm obviously doing something wrong here.
