I need to buy a laptop PC and, according to my budget, I have basically two choices:
- Celeron M 1.5 Ghz with 512 MB RAM DDR - Sempron 3.0 Ghz with 1Gb RAM DDR Which do you think it's best? For the RAM option, it's obvious...but I would like to know which processor is fastest: the Celeron or the Sempron. Thanks for taking the time, your opinion counts!

I'd say go for the sempron, the celeron name speaks for itself...

Sempron is the AMD's answer to the celeron, they preform almost the same so I suggest you go for the more RAM option ( ps. note that a sempron notebook develop more heat then a celeron)

I'd think the Sempron.. it sorta looks like double everything the Celeron offers...

IMHO you have no choice actually!
Go for the Sempron! k: With all that RAM... and even if it could heat more than the Celeron, well, I hope that it will not cause an environmental disaster... |

Don't forgett to look at the HD, Battery-life and weight.. those are usualy MORE important then the CPU and RAM... the RAM can always be expanded later, the others can't.

Expecially about the battery life, if you are going to use it mainly without the power cord... |

If you plan to play modern games (last few years) make sure you get a 7200 drive with it. If you can't, you can always upgrade later (as I did).
