Thumbs up

Fury of the Furries is an excellent game and was my favorite back in the Amiga500 days. Intuitive game-play, good music and sound effects, well designed levels that challenge both the player's brain and dexterity. I really enjoyed it although I remember been stuck at the forest "falling leaf" level then at pyramid "walking above acid" level. Back then, there was no internet to get hints.

I recently installed the DOS version and rediscovered the fun of this game. I also noticed it contains a lot of Easter eggs and cross-references like Star Wars, Shakespeare, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Rover from The Prisoner, Little Red Riding Hood, The Smurfs, Cool Spot...

The small animations of idle tiny bring a funny plus to this well made game. Did anyone discover the following: Having the red tiny idle for a while near a movable brick will trigger an animation event: he’ll lean against the brick then the brick will slide a few pixels away and the tiny will fall on the ground. So, keep your eyes open for such gems while playing and enjoy them!

I know this means giving up, but I guess this is my last resort. I can't possibly beat Castle level 9. No way. I tried tens of times with no success. Only twice or maybe three times I managed to get as far as to make the boss shrink for the first time... So I guess that if I don't cheat, I'll probably never be able to see the further levels.
I know there are ways to edit something in the game to move forward by cheating. However, once I downloaded a hex editor and I couldn't find the required fragment in the file, so I gave up, manipulating files is not a solution for "computer legs". (I've seen there are some people from Poland here, for all the others: "noga" - literally "leg" - is a colloquial expression for someone who doesn't have a clue about something.) I'm thinking about a different solution: if someone has a game saved at the Machine, could I gain access to it by copying files from him or her?
I know it's dishonest, but some less agile people aren't able to solve the problem in a normal way.

Another question: I decided to try cheating - just to pass this horrible level, than I would change it back (more precisely, after having the game saved at the Machine). There is information on what to change in the hex format. I even managed to view the file in this format... however, I can't find the required series of characters. As if it just wasn't in the file. What should I do? Has anyone tried the immunity cheat?

Just throw fire balls to the boss until it gets as tiny as it can, then throw balls to the cage above, it will fall down and trap the boss inside. The block in the middle will open the exit.
It's not easy to do this but it's the only way, also because I don't think it's able to copy files from someone else.
So... good luck!

I have a trainer which can allow you to skip levels, activate or deactivate the furries whenever you want, add coins, lives or time.
You can download it here:

http://megagames.com/trainers/fury-furries

Or you can find it in google, just put "fury of the furries trainer"

Bye!!!
