![]() I have this game, and I recall to play it a lot. Besides the fun of having missions day or night, this game has a feature which I have no idea if it is usable nowadays!
The compatibility with later OS was never a problem for me, once I have old computers fit to run old programs/games. So my question is about that speacial feature of SEIII that was allowing two players far from each other, at their homes, to play the game either as partners or as opponents... It was a modem to modem connection, where one would need to click-dial the destination phone nr. and as soon as the connection was made, each player would use the already loaded game. Ok, ok... the question is: Is it possible nowadays with routers, etc, make or emulate the mentioned p2p connection in order to be able to use again that game feature? The last, but not the least: far from having any expertise on this area of communications, I will be probably not the best learner if the language goes too specialized... Thank you, anyway |
