ALSO, people were talking about uploading the map, but there isn't one on the site for this version. Just download the map from the Gold version. Same difference.

They also have the map on this site, as well as some really good tips and information. I recomend checking it out. Plus it's got links to historical information on real Pirates of the era, so that's a plus.

Thumbs down

Hey! Have anyone encountered this problem?

I use dosbox 0.65 for window. It always clushed after I have finished first enemy captain in EGA mode(but play well in CGA and Tandy.)

When the in town screen shown up. If I choose any option in the screen, it always end up with grey box on blue screen.

I'm real fan of Sid's games. And I have tried all sequels of this game (of course, except this one.) And I wanna try this one too. The only way for me (now) is play it in CGA mode (but I'd like to play in EGA. It's really nice. I've seen the screen capture on the page.)

Please, if there are any solution, tell me.

P.S. I have tried both reduce and increase CPU cycles between 800 - 8000.

Umnn...

I'm sure that I don't know much about Dosbox.conf but I think that I have tried a lot of it. (I have tried to change graphic engine, sound, CPU.... but not all of them.)

I still need somebody to help me more about DosBox.conf..... so please if you can.

However, I don't mind about playing in CGA mode (Hey... It's not that bad).

Perhaps, I have to re-download it again, hoping that I can fix this.

There is an official FAQ here. Has everything about the config file and its subtleties.

If you solve your problem, remember to post here how did you do it.
You know, if anybody has the same problem later.

I still need time to try with DOSbox.conf. If I have any solution in the DOSbox.conf, I will tell.

But I have primary solution for playing in EGA mode now. First, I have to create character in CGA mode. And save then load it in EGA mode.

This time I can play it in EGA without crashed when in town screen (don't sure that it will error again in other section or not... ).
