![]() I have the singular 3.5" floppy release of the original Oregon Trail for DOS. Virtually every abandonware site on the net only has The Oregon Trail Deluxe, the higher-res later edition with a mouse-driven GUI interface. This is the "classic" version, essentially a 256 VGA port (though it claims to support EGA and CGA as well) of the original Apple II release. I think it'd be a boon for this site to have, as I imagine many DOS retro gamers would prefer to play the one they remember playing in Elementary School... and it is virtually impossible to find on any other DOS retrogaming site.

![]() You're welcome! I just finished uploading everything you should need. Sadly the box has been gone for years, and the manual is probably in storage. I'll make scans of that if I come across it again.
And yeah, it works just fine in DOSbox. In fact it works slightly better than on my 486, where it runs slightly too fast. Last edited by FancyCat; 06-05-2014 at 07:39 PM. Reason: adding info |
