Fire Force [NON-PC]
i can't track this game down anywhere with my limited info from memory (A500+, side scrolling)
You were basically an american commando (70's or 80's era i think) you picked your weapons at start of game including an m60 machine gun, grenades, kalashnikov etc. you were then dropped from helicopter onto screen you moved to the right shooting as enemies appeared, you could also track back left if needed you could enter huts/buildings in the background. pretty sure you had a timer for each mission you had to beat. cant remember objectives other then kill things, you were awarded medals at the end of the mission depending on how well you did and a purple heart if you were killed. this has been bugging me and no matter what list of amiga games i go through none of the names jogs my memory. any help appreciated |

Arnie maybe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Z274snXSU - dont think it will be though - that game was so awful you'd never forget it.
I also found these two games http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/25...al+Forces.html and http://www.lemonamiga.com/?game_id=42 (I havent played either game but just came across them and they appeared to feature many of the aspects you mentioned) Any other bits you can remember about it? thanks for the reply. its definately not any of those games especially the last 2. the game im thinking of did play like Arnie though, the side scrolling action part was just like that....except good! more colourful and the characters were larger as well.
you also never got to pick your character only your weapons. i cant remember anything else but i dont think there was much more to the game then that anyway, pretty basic and probably wasn't a hit but have nostalgic memories of it. plus i never got past the 2nd or 3rd level as i could never find my way to the next screen on that level and the timer would run out. thanks for the help! |
