I got my card. Once again a C+ (78.3936 to be exact). I'm 12th in ranking out of 39 students in our class. Now... Should my dad ground me, not let me use the PC and confiscate my cellphone?

Factors:

>Yes it was lower (79.4469 on the 1st quarter), but the 2nd year (8th grade) IS one of the hardest part of school.

>Our science teacher is dumb (gets mad at us for stuff we didn't even know we had to do, gives low grades to impress) and her lessons are such a bore.

>Constant bullying clutters my mind.

>Another thing that clutters my mind... is the extreme pressure my dad's putting me in. He's not the type of guy who'd say "Go higher, try harder! You can do it!" when I have low grades. Rather he says "You had better go higher than this, or I will not let you use this computer and confiscate your cellphone". Total BS. I remember him asking me if I was stupid... :wallbash:

Please consider these factors before answering... Thanks.

dude, take it easy, it's just your dad. 78.4 is a nice mark. it's 4/5 of all the things teachers BS in to your head and you won't even use 10% of it, believe me.

if you go on like this and get marks like 80%, even with all the "factors" and dumb teacher, you will just be realy good on universities

Yes, you won't use 90% of that... but you don't know WHICH 10 % you will use.

lol, I quit school way too early becaue I just hated it and ended up with zero qualifications so c+ sounds fine to me .

I have picked up some qualifications now but believe me there are plenty of people I have worked with in some really lousy jobs who had the qualifications but nothing else to back them up, they may have been great at passing tests but that was all.

I have 3 kids now and although I may think that they could do better I would certainly not be stressing out over c+ grades

chill out
