I just want to advise the users of the ZoneAlarm firewall, that when i've upragraded it to the latest version (perhaps the 6.0.66...., the new version with the antivirus integrated) my PC reacted too bad (blue screen, slowing down...), forcing me to uninstall it!

So, be careful... I hope no one will have the same problems k:

That's kind of strange. I think I have the latest version too, and that never happened. What are your system specs?

I have winXP pro SP1, on an (old) AMD Athlon 850...

But i think that the problem is due to some conflict with other antivirus programs... maybe AVG...

I'm using AVG too...strange. Try switching to McAfee, the version with the AV and the firewall. I hear it's pretty good. The problem is that your PC seems kind of old...there's also a fairly good free antivirus, suitable for older PCs. Get it here:
AntiVir

You could always give a go at Kerio Personal Firewall.

What's the meaning of "gace up"? It sounds not so good...

And does Kerio work in the same way of ZoneAlarm?

i used zone alarm years ago, but i wasn't satisfied with the way how zone alarm works..

my suggestion: Black Ice Defender http://www.black-ice-firewall.com/ you can download the shareware/trial version somewhere at download.com

Best freeware firewall: Jetico Personal Firewall www.jetico.com

I would take the windows 3.11 build in firewall than the bice. IMO and no I am not in any mood to analyse it now. So, just don't mind me.

I am not sure about your question about Kerio, care to rephrase it?
