Firepower
As I am completely new to this forum I figured this might be the right place to go for help on remembering the title of an old game. So I guess my odds of getting help relies heavily on what I can remember so I am going to try and list as much as I can remember about this two player game.
Gameplay: The games starts off with letting each player decide what tank they wish to use in the game. If I remember correctly there are 3 different types with the differences being something like: Speed, fire-power, armour and number of mines available. The game plays out realtime, after each player have chosen a tank they start in the center of a base like city (topdown) with buildings, walls, turrets and doors that automatically open for you. The goal is to drive to the opposite players base and blast you way to the center to retrieve something (may have been a flag) and then return it to your own base. These bases where fairly large and maze like, a fair bit of destruction was needed to reach the artefact/flag that should be returned home. It may have been possible to also win the game by simple killing off your opponent player's tank x number of times. I remember the general style of the graphics to be modern warefare realistic perhaps a bit cartoonish. Genre: Warfare Key words: Tanks, Mines, Bases, Capture the flag. View: Topdown, may have been isometric, but I do not think so Year of release: My guess would be late 80's but could be early 90's. Platform: Was played on a 386 pc in dos, but may have been available on other platforms. Language: English Number of player: May have been strictly two player splitscreen not sure if it was possible to play an AI opponent or more than two players. Anyone that knows the title on this one? Did I forget to add critical information that could help solve it? I desperately need to be able to put a title on this game :s somebody? anyone? help! Reminds me of Battle City on NES. We used to play the hell out of that game in the past.
