Old games on Smartphone
Hello, it's been a while since I don't write down here
I would like to know if anoyone thinks that it would be awesome to have old favourite dos games in our smartphones. For example, I would like to re-play some old golds like "Theme Park" or "Brutal Paws of Fury" in my Acer Liquid (titles said just to put down two examples of what I mean, there are a lot of titles I think are besto of nowadays smartphone games). Does anyone know if there is something like this, like, dunno, dosbox for smartphone, or an "Apk converter" for little dos games? Am I a dreamer? |

I've tried it but there's a little problem regarding mouse movement (the touchscreen simulates it but it's a little slow, like some kind of resolution issue. If you tried something like "Theme Park" on smartphone you can see what I mean )

I have been looking for a good app that will let me play old games on my Android phone that I have recently set up with. I agree that the mechanics do not work right on this app on Theme Park. Were you able to find any other good apps that actually work well on games like Theme Park? I have also been looking for the classic Snake game that used to be on the old Nokia phones. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

If you look for "dosbox" in the Google Play you'll find a couple besides the one Horseman linked. For example:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ishstix.dosbox I haven't tried any of them.

It seems DOSBox Turbo is the best solution for playing DOS games on Android phones, but unfortunately only keyboard controlled platformers and FPS games play well on it, adventure, RTS, and RPG games hardly worth the effort purchasing the emulator.
I recommend using NES/SNES/PS1 emulators, though I've never managed to use the latter properly.

I use scuumvm. It works well for the point and click adventure games... Quite well actually. I'm playing dreamweb at the moment. But I have Day of the Tentacle on standby as well as manic mansion.
Theme Park would be awesome, but I just don't think it would work too well. Unless you have a blue tooth mouse. |
