I'm looking for a side-scrolling helicopters and planes game. It looks similar to
Sand Storm, but the graphics were a bit better. The other big difference is that in this game you were controlling the plane or helicopter. There was a whole bunch to choose from. Though I think all the helicopters acted the same game-play wise and same for all the planes. So the choice was purely aesthetic.
One of the planes was a black stealth bomber. I often picked it, because I thought it looked a bit like the Batman logo when you turned facing down. I think you were supposed to bomb bridges and soldiers. Maybe tanks too? I don't remember there being enemy aircraft, but there might have been. You had to return to base (and land safely) to refuel. If you crashed, the game said something about you getting an early retirement or something along those lines.
I played this around 1996 on a Pentium 90. It was most likely a DOS game.
