More specific changes require editing the config file.
Under
[sdl], you want
fullscreen (if you want to start DOSBox in fullscreen mode),
fullresolution,
windowresolution and
output (set to overlay or ddraw, required for scaling to work right).
Under
[render], set
aspect to true.
