Wow it's such a terrible idea to open a new design to a debate, especially an incomplete one. Years of experience in interactive design taught me so. Just trust a designer, brief him and let him do it. You can't design something collectively with unqualified people commenting during the process. It'll be amateurish and no one will be happy anyway.
