I downloaded DOSbox on the previous posters' advice to play this game..
Originally, I tried to install the game, mounting drives as A: and C: in a vain attempt to install the game as I installed others like it in the mid 90's.
Don't do that..
Just run the game after dearchiving. It will make life a lot less painful
The sounds work fine without installing the game, much to my amazed disbelief.
And, as the previous posters noted, copy the .voc and .scr files from the archives in teh patches dir into the game dir (folder), and it should work fine (so they say, I'm not far enough into it to know).
