I'm tired of waiting for piggggg to start "Quest for G.E.C.K.", so I'm starting my own Fallout-esque forum game. It's not directly based on any of the Fallout titles, allthough it is set in the same universe. The format of turns remains the same:

I will give you your options, depending on the area, whether you're in a long round of combat (I will mostly do shorter combat encounters myself to the best of my abilities) the quest you're in, an area you want to travel to, and etc. Each action will cost a certain amount of TP, Time Points, a single round is segmented into 20 TP. Depending on various stats, or skills (such as Outdoorsman) some activities might take longer or less time depending on your skillfulness.

Also, when you have TP left over from a previous turn, HALF of that TP will translate along into the next turn, so you can actively save TP for big ventures. Of course, while you're doing this, you'll be using up more turns, and the person who wins is the person who can finish in the LEAST amount of turns.[/b]
the story is this:
You all live in a small village in Finland (although you have little knowledge of it being Finland, and not just another part of the Great North) in 2161 (which also isn't any kind information your characters are interested in). Over the past hunderd years your people have completely reverted to the hunitng, gathering, and semi-agricultural ways. The village had little ability to defend against serious threats, but it equally lacked resources to be targeted by anyone sereious. Occasionally some raiders could come, taking a weeks worth of precious meat each. sometimes a trader would swindle the youths out of half their possensions with a shiny trinket, but life was generaly stable. Unitil last spring.
Lats spring, a large, well armed force came. they claimed you were on their land. and that you owed them a large corvee. with that they took most of your food supply, and every able bodied man they could find, and went away. You were lucky to be hunting (or gathering, or scouting, or whatever) at the time, and were spared. Now it is mid-autumn, the game is moving south, the plants are withering and there's still isn't enough food to feed the village throughout the winter. The elders decide to send you out to find some way to get food (or at least not have to feed you with what little you have).

also nothe the following:
you all speak Suomi. but there are other languages (awarded as perks, so you eitehr speak or you don't).
most villagers can't read. you can sacrafice one tag skill for the "literate" perk. there might be other ways to get it.
if you don't have food in the wilderness, you will have to roll against "outdorsman" every day to get some (same goes for water, allthough you can fully refill any ammount of conatiners with water each time you succed), if you fail you will have to roll again. each roll substarcts 1 hour form the 16 you spend travelling.
Finally you all have "tribal" tarit, so you get a +10 to sneak, melee, thrown and outdorsman, and suffer a -10 to repair and science (and can't read).
