NP. The games need the values of your sound card. Since they're run inside DOSBox, we're talking about the legacy virtual card DOSBox emulates, not your real hardware one.
Those are the default settings if you haven't changed DOSBox's configuration, but you can change the settings or even the card emulated (older than SB16). You can find all that under the [sblaster] heading of
DOSBox.conf
