i know this is kinda different from the theme of the rest of of the posts..

but, rather than the amazing technology that will available.. what really interests me is the politics of the future.

(hopefully) 3rd world nations would have caught up. i wonder what impact that poor african, asian and south american countries will have in places like the UN which are extremely Euro-Americocentric.

also, it will mean that developing nations will use much more power and resources. where's that all going to come from?

it will also be interesting to see what the influence of religion will be. it took an intellectual tradition of hundreds of years to diminish the importance of europe. i wonder what improving life standards within a hundred years will do in other places? will it be technology and religion grow together, or civil war?
